This week there will be Lettuce, Napa Cabbage, Carrots, Cucumber, Kale, Purple Snow Peas, Sweet Green Onions & Purple Scallions.
Napa Cabbage also known as celery cabbage is a bit sweeter than regular cabbage ans is great as a cold salad.
Sweet Green Onions are sweet onions that have not formed there skin and have just started to bulb. Delicious in salad or grilled.
Purple Scallions not to be confused with Green Onions, scallions will never form a bulb.
Napa Cabbage Salad

1 Head of napa cabbage thinly sliced
5-6 scallions thinly sliced
dressing
1/2 cup canola or olive oil
3 Tablespoons of sugar
1/3 cup rice or cider vinegar
1 Tablespoon soy sauce
1 Teaspoon sesame oil
topping
2 Tablespoons butter
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 package Ramen noodles, broken into small pieces
1 cup slivered almonds
Salt to taste
Mix napa cabbage and scallions in a large bowl. Combine dressing ingredients in a jar with a tight lid and shake well to mix.
Pour dressing over cabbage mixture, toss to coat and set aside.
In a large frying pan, melt butter and stir in olive oil.
Add broken noodles, almonds and salt.Saute until noodles and nuts are lightly golden brown.Sprinkle crunchy noodles and almonds over the cabbage mixture.
